Week of April 23 - 27, 2012

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Oakwood has a full schedule of Arts events during April and May. Please take time to join us at one of our many arts events to support our students and staff in the exceptional work that they are doing in the Arts. 

1. Oakwood drama students will be participating in the “TDSB IMPACT: celebrating student voice in secondary DANCE and DRAMA” on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Hart House. Tickets are $7.00 at the door. Please come out to support our students.
2. The School Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 26^th has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 3^rd so that the administrative team can attend the above presentation at Hart House.
3. The Oakwood Steel Pans will be performing at the TDSB Pan Fest on Thursday, April 26^th at the Bickford Centre, 777 Bloor Street, West.
4. Please join us for our Spring Music Concert on Friday, April 27^th at St. Matthew’s Church at 7:30 p.m.

Oakwood Spring Arts Calendar

Oakwood CI has a vibrant Arts program. Our students excel in all arts disciplines: dance, drama, instrumental music, steel pans, strings, vocal music, and visual art. Every spring we showcase the accomplishments of our students at our arts events. Please join us at the following events -

Friday, April 20, 2012 Theatre 55 Presentation of senior drama students One Act Plays. 7:00 p.m. Admission is $7.00.

Thursday, April 26, 2012 Oakwood Steel Pans perform at the TDSB Pan Fest at the Bickford Centre.

Thursday, April 26, 2012 Oakwood Drama students participate at the TDSB "Impact - celebrating student voice in secondary Dance and Drama at Hart House. 7:00 p.m.

Friday, April 27, 2012 Spring Music Concert at St. Matthew's Church at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 9, 2012 Oakwood Dance presentation for Grade 7 and 8's - all day at OCI.

Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11, 2012 Oakwood Dance Showcase 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.

Friday, May 18, 2012 Oakwood Steel Pans perform at Forest Hill P.S. at the "Student Empowerment Conference".
