Timetable Changes at Oakwood C.I.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This fall Oakwood C.I. has had an increase in student enrolment. As a result many of our classes have exceeded class size caps. We have been very fortunate to receive an additional allocation of 2. 5 teachers. Over the past few weeks we have been working behind the scenes to reschedule staff and students with the additional staff.
Today, Monday October 22, 2012 is "timetable turn over day". Approximately 300 students received new timetables on Friday, October 19th. Today our staff and students will be following new timetables. We acknowledge that changing timetables at this point in the school year is stressful for our students. Teachers will be working collaboratively to ensure that assessment and evaluation records are shared so that students' marks will not be affected by the timetable changes.
I would like to thank everyone in the school community for their hard work through the reorganization process. This includes students, staff and our parent community. Your continued support of OCI is appreciated.
